What I'd like to to filling this web log with is images like the the one above. And that will be happening again. I'd also like to be stoking you out with good surfing images....that will be happening again soon. But I'm not going on roadies or surfing at all right now. On July 23, I took apart the perfectly good, working interior of our beloved Troopy.
The original interior; worked perfectly, but the old grey clad MDF cabinetry was heavy and didn't capitalise on all the much needed storage space.
I had already replaced the left hand bench/bed side ... and knew things behind the old cabinets were pretty rough... look at that dodgey wiring!
Cleaned internal walls and insulation added...new power centre box made
New wall panels made with chubby holes....
The bro Kent takes on the old snakes wedding
and look at what he did!!! Simplified, fused and safe...
Deceptively simple right?
It is said that a camper van fit out takes about 300 hours; doesn't matter what size, in fact smaller just means fiddler. After 7 weeks of everyday... I think we can establish I'm very slow. It's getting there. What have I learnt? The old cabinets were pretty good!
Next week...surfing...probably :)
And over on Recreational Society, things are ticking along quite nicely thank you.
