So, I had this clever plan directly after this photoshoot. Probably because the shoot was the last session of yet another incredible run of waves out west. It felt like the end. A bloody good end. Surely now winter would take hold and we'd fall into a more predictable weather pattern of howling Sou'Westers. There was no wishing or wanting that. It's just logical, this can't keep happening, we can't keep getting better waves in winter than in summer. I confidently graded up the photo selection and put them in a folder called Winter Wine...like a play on Last of the Summer Wine.
The plan was to salute the crazy amount of surf we've had. Not just surf, but real quality waves.
...and you know where all this is going... as of today we are back into a week of offshores. The winter wine is not over yet. It's bloody August! The shortest day, winter solstice has long passed. The waves just keep on coming.
And over on Recreational Society, things are ticking along quite nicely thank you. Earlier this week the site featured Goose and Ellen in their third instalment.
