It has finally arrived. I'm a Canon camera loyal, the last 3 years have been testing. In fact many, many professional photographers have abandoned Canon, lured by both Nikon and Sony's mega megapixel race. Canon seemed to ignore the technological bounds being made by the others, it was hard to keep faith. But here's Canon's answer to the race, the Eos R5, a 45 megapixel, mirrorless beast that...more importantly will capture 20 frames a second. To give you some scale most professionals are happy at around 12 fps or even settle for a balance between big files and 6 fps, I've been doing the latter for the last few years. But now I don't have to. I can't wait to get this little beast into a water housing. But in the meantime here's the first surf shots out of the R5...
So how'd the new camera go, I hear you not ask. Well, pretty damn good. I've got a lot to learn about it's new features, but this ol dog can do it sweet as.
